Why we picked it
The first tea at a kashta is the one that takes the longest — the grill isn't lit, the kettle's somewhere in the boot, and everyone's waiting. A 12 V kettle solves it by starting earlier: plug it in as you leave the city and it boils on the drive, so the first cups are poured before the mat is down. It's slower than a kitchen kettle — that's what 12 V means — which is exactly why it belongs on the road and not at the camp. On the way home it does the same for the person driving.
— The Ghalyh team · How we pick
Good for
The drive out · the drive home · the car that's always on the road
Not for
Boiling for ten people at the camp — the grill and a real kettle are faster. This is for the road.
